Rules for Creating a SHero Movie Story

Rules for Creating a SHero Movie Story

A movie where the lead is a female, and all her allies are female.

Definition Movie Coverups - often a female cannot accomplish or portray something so the movie house will go to various extents to cover up a failure or shortcoming by females.

The SHE

  • She is constantly praised by other characters in the movie (for being unique, brave and smart).
  • She lives with near-constant emotional pain.
  • She has physical ailments, but will sacrifice to accomplish a task – even at the expense of her own life or health.
  • She never asks a man for anything – including water.
  • She has no love interest whatsoever – except for possibly a long-since-dead Daddy. (yes daddy issues)
  • When she succeeds in a task, she behaves like a juvenile with a favorite toy.

 (Movie coverups)

  • She has great physical strength even though she CANNOT DO ONE (1) pullup.
  • She often wears baggy clothes, usually to hide a lack of muscle development.

 The SHero's Female Bosses

  • There will often be a Bitchy-Girl-Boss in charge.
  • She shows up occasionally, but always in the foreground. Usually in your face.

The SHero's Male Bosses

  • There will often be a Short-tempered Constipated Male in charge.
  • He shows up occasionally, but always in the background -- like behind a desk or behind employees or workers.

The SHero Allies

  • The females have clairvoyant reasoning - often to explain the storyline.
  • A female is always giving directions and a male is often taking directions.
  • A female often takes the lead in action - often for no apparent reason.

 (Movie coverups)

  • Large phallic-like objects are the preferred hand-weapons of choice.
  • Hair is often worn up, or under a baseball cap OR is cut really, really short.
  • Hair is down when attacking, confronting or dealing with a difficult task.
  • Neither a bob nor pageboy haircuts are allowed
  • Ankle-high bootlets are the preferred shoe wear.
  • Flats, sandals or spike heels are not allowed.

The SHero Males

  • Males often play the secondary antagonist - if not the primary antagonist of the story.
  • A male will often be the first to fall victim to "the evil" in the story.
  • Males are docile; never volunteering for a task or assigned a task.
  • Males rarely get close ups.

(Exception to all male rules.)

  • He must be tall (at least 6ft), dark and handsome.
  • He must be subservient to all instructions.
  • He must know what the plan is – without an explanation of the plan.
  • He follows directions without question.
  • He will get a hug when it is all over.
